–The May Meeting, held on 5/27/2016 at Gilruth, was the first meeting of the 2016-2017 SBC ELT –The April Meeting, open to all SBC membership, was held at JSC Bldg 1 on 4/29/2016. The newly elected members were announced. They are: Jim Baker, Arrow Scientific and Technical Fernando de la Pena, Aexa Aerospace Mary Ellen Londrie, P3S Corporation Brent Watling, Rohmann Services Inc. Michael Zarcaro, Geocontrol Systems JSC Request For Information (RFI) and Sources Sought (SS) Process Improvement Initiative was introduced at the April meeting –Being led for JSC by Ric Slater –Benchmarking other agencies and industry to identify best practices –Agency-wide initiative to provide feedback on marketing data gathered and acquisition strategies developed from RFIs/SSs –Objective is to drive consistency across SEBs and more SB inclusion in procurements –SBC is being solicited for feedback on process improvements Save the date for the annual SBC big event –JSC SBC Annual event at UHCL on August 2, 2016.
