Communications Committee

• Ready to support the communications that will go out for the ELT nomination process

Nominations

• An announcement is being prepared to let small businesses know that the nominations open March 24th
• This year’s nomination and selection process schedule was reviewed
• The May meeting will be the first meeting for new members

NCMA Small Business Conference Update

• April 13th from 08:00 – 15:00 at NASA’s Gilruth Center Alamo Ballroom
• The JSC SBC will have a table next to the registration table

Valerie’s Corner

• Val congratulated Vice Chair / Denise Navarro on her 2017 Community Partnership Award from UHCL
• PCR update: The new administration put a hold on new hiring and all new positions were canceled
• Linda McMahon was sworn in as the new SBA Administrator
• “Challenge Her” event has been mover to May 16th

Ric Clean Slate

• JSC did their first test case with the new sources-sought template
• Light manufacturing event will be held at the Gilruth Center on June 8th

New Business

• JSC SBC – NCMA – NMA social, March 23rd, 2017. 16:00 – 19:00 at Main Event Webster, TX.
• Denise will provide feedback about the NASA Industry Forum
