SBC ELT News

​August 2nd Event Debrief
  • We had 150 attendees at the event
  • Both presentation and networking received an average over 4 out of 5 stars in the survey
  • Positive feedback received and all logistics actions (registration, badging, room, food, etc.) went extremely well
  • UHCL interested in being more involved in next years event

SpaceCom Status
  • Will be held from November 15 -17 at the George Brown Convention Center
  • Executive Director, James Causey confirmed the repeat of a discount for JSC SBC members

Communications Committee Report
  • The JSC SBC website is up to date with all available information, including August 2nd event links to presentations, pictures from presentations, and highlights from previous ELT meetings
  • Looking into having a UHCL Intern assist with maintaining the JSC SBC social media sites

Ad Hoc: Machine Shop Event
  • It was suggested to facilitate the creation of a community of highly skilled manufacturing companies as a trusted manufacturing source

​New Business
  • Cooperation with Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership (BAHEP) Small Business Committee being investigated
